Emily is a graduate environmental geologist focused on the assessment, management and remediation of contaminated land within the UK and Ireland. She received a first class Bachelor of Science degree with Honours in Geology from Durham University and a distinction in Master of Science degree in Applied Environmental Geology from Cardiff University.
Emily joined Geosyntec after completing an internship in which her dissertation examined the challenges of Enhanced In Situ Bioremediation in a complex fractured bedrock site in Ireland and assisted in the field scale pilot testing of this technology.
Emily continues to work on this challenging project in addition to gaining preliminary experience in high resolution site investigation and Environmental Due Diligence for a range of sites across the UK and Ireland. In the future, Emily hopes to continue gaining experience in these areas with a particular interest in sustainability and biological remediation technologies such as EISB and phytoremediation.
