James Rayner, MSc, FGS

James is an experienced environmental consultant who has supported manufacturing, chemical and pharmaceutical, oil and gas, legal and financial sectors for over 19 years. James assists Geosyntec’s clients with mergers, divestitures and acquisitions activities, as well as the sustainable management of their most complex environmental liabilities. 

He is a contaminant hydrogeologist specializing in the development of advanced conceptual site models to assess the feasibility and performance of sustainable, nature-based remediation technologies.  James has published technical guidance on monitored natural attenuation and natural source zone depletion with the Environment Agency and CL:AIRE, and has previously contributed to applied research initiatives including the US Department of Defense Strategic Environmental Research and Development Program (SERDP).
