
Mark Harris, BEng, CEng, CEnv, MICE – Chartered Civil Engineer
Mark Harris is a Senior Chartered Civil Engineer and Chartered Environmentalist with more than 30 years of experience on geo-environmental and construction projects across the United Kingdom, Europe, Africa, and Australasia. He is a seasoned programme manager with senior level management experience on multidisciplinary projects including provision of environmental and technical due diligence in support of land and building transactions, complex site assessment, contaminated land remediation, and construction.
Mark has assisted clients on due diligence projects ranging from single sites to portfolios with more than 200 properties. He has managed the refurbishment of existing buildings and the construction of new buildings, including the competitive tendering and contractor selection process. Mark is also experienced with large-scale, complex, chemical and manufacturing plant site decommissioning, demolition, and remediation programmes.
His extensive background in multiphased projects includes management of feasibility studies, environmental site assessments, regulatory liaison and compliance, detailed design, procurement, construction, and operation and maintenance work. Mark has also managed and directed multiple landfill-related projects involving final closure and restoration, contaminated leachate management, processing land raise material to facilitate new development, slope stability and scour protection, environmental monitoring, and licensing.
